5 Naruto Biggest Weakness As Hokage
5 Naruto Biggest Weakness As Hokage |
The figure of Uzumaki Naruto finally succeeded in realizing his dream to become a Hokage. This has been his dream since he was little. In the Naruto series, we see how he very often reveals his dreams in front of others. And after a long and tiring struggle, Naruto finally succeeded in realizing his big dream to become a Hokage.
Uzumaki Naruto is the seventh Hokage in Konoha village. He became Hokage after replacing his teacher, Hatake Kakashi, who became the sixth Hokage. Naruto himself managed to achieve this position after the fourth great shinobi world war. Even though Naruto managed to bring great change to the world, by stopping wars and strife, there were some things that became Naruto's weaknesses.
1. Too Soft
It is understandable if Naruto really wants peace and stop the war in the shinobi world. He himself had experienced very bad things as a result of the war, where Naruto lost both his parents. And many casualties, including those closest to him, as a result of this. This is what then motivates Naruto to stop all existing wars.
Naruto also always tries to avoid things in a good way, so that there will be no more wars in the future. This is understandable, but sometimes this is also a weakness in itself. What is happening right now with Amado, Eida, and Kawaki can be an example. Konoha was under great threat when Isshiki appeared to look for Kawaki's whereabouts. Luckily, Sasuke and Boruto appeared and managed to move the battle arena.
2. Lack of Strategy
It has become a characteristic of Naruto if he is always reckless, without thinking about what will happen in the future. He always attacks first, without thinking twice before attacking. Of all the battles and things that have happened so far in Naruto's story as a shinobi, trying his best and using all his strength has become Naruto's mainstay.
That's not to say it's bad, but it's not uncommon to have a tactic or strategy in place that is a good thing. And this was proven, when he became Hokage. Naruto almost never prepares or has a strategy in various ways, for example when the threat of Isshkki and Code appears. Shikamaru usually thought of everything. This is certainly very dangerous for Konoha's future.
3. Having Decreased Strength
This is something that many fans have been complaining about so far throughout the Boruto series. Since Naruto sat in the Hokage chair, many fans have seen that the protagonist has decreased in strength. From morning to night, Naruto continued to be in the Hokage's office doing various administrative matters for Konoha. Never was Naruto seen training or re-training his abilities.
This is what worries fans, which even Sasuke himself criticizes. In fact, Sasuke is currently moving more often to gather information and various other things. Naruto almost never left Konoha to just run a mission or anything. This is what then makes his strength and ability decrease, although from a narrative perspective this is probably deliberately done by Kishimoto in order to increase the prestige of the new generation.
4. Relying Too Much on Others
As mentioned above, when it comes to gathering confidential information Sasuke is always the one to rely on. For matters of security and strategy, Naruto handed it over to the figure of Shikamaru. Again, this is understandable considering that being Hokage is not an easy task. However, relying too much on other people is definitely not a good thing.
Many fans criticize if Naruto is very less involved in various things. Unlike Naruto who used to be so active and energetic. Naruto seemed too tired from all the administrative work as Hokage which made him finally rely on someone else to make up for this shortcoming. Although this is a form of cooperation, being involved in a thing or event is certainly not a bad thing. Moreover, Naruto is the leader of the village of Konoha.
5. Applying Nepotism
Nepotism is a thing in which a person is chosen because of a relationship or ability. In Naruto's case, we can see this nepotism in Kawaki's figure. Naruto is really so protective and tries to do anything for Kawaki's sake. He seemed to see the figure of his childhood in Kawaki, which he was finally willing to even go against what Shikamaru proposed.
Worse, this actually makes his relationship with Boruto even more distant. From the start, the relationship between father and son was not good. Boruto needs attention from his father, which he doesn't get because of his father's duty as Hokage. Himawari too. This is what ultimately makes Boruto often make trouble, even though this is no longer the case. And Boruto and Naruto's relationship improved a little.
Becoming a Hokage or Konoha village leader is a big achievement in Naruto's life. And Naruto is the one who managed to bring about a big change, both to Konoha and to the world. Even so, of course nothing is perfect from the figure of Naruto and his position. And some of the examples above are evidence of Naruto's weakness as a Hokage.
THANK YOU.
