Liam Hemsworth Replaces Henry Cavill in The Witcher Season 4

Henry Cavill has confirmed that he will be replaced by Chris Hemsworth's younger brother, Liam Hemsworth, to play Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher series. However, this change will only occur in season 4.

Suddenly this took fans by surprise and produced various reactions. The reason, Henry Cavill is considered to have perfectly played the figure of Geralt. Although it is not known what the exact reason for the change was, in his Instagram post, Henry Cavill said the following:


“My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with monsters and adventures, and sadly, I will be laying down my medals and sword for Season 4, In exchange, the fantastic Liam Hemsworth will take on the mantle of the White Wolf.

As with the greatest literary characters, I give the torch with respect for the time spent embodying Geralt, and enthusiasm for seeing Liam as an interesting and nuanced man. Liam, this character has incredible depth, enjoy diving into this character and see what you can find out.” Cavill said.

The post was also chimed in by Liam Hemsworth. “As a Witcher fan, I was thrilled with the opportunity to play Geralt of Rivia, Henry Cavill has been an amazing Geralt, and I am honored that he gave up the reins and allowed me to take over. Henry, I have been a fan of yours for years and was inspired by what you brought to this beloved character. I may have big boots to fill, but I'm really excited to step into the world of The Witcher." said Hemsworth.

There is a lot of speculation that Cavill's departure as Geralt is because he will focus on playing Superman, because Cavill has agreed to return to playing the role after making peace with Warner Bros.

However, this is only speculation, whether it is true or not, maybe we will not know if there is no party who gives an official statement regarding the reason for Cavill's resignation.
