The Duration of Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will be Longer!

Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will be the latest MCU film that will be released in the near future, precisely on May 5, 2023. James Gunn is again lined up as the film director. But Gunn not only directed it, because he also became the script writer. Interestingly, this will be a James Gunn farewell film at MCU. After the film was released, Gunn officially left Marvel Studios and focused on the DC Studios he led.

As a farewell film, Gunn promised that the Guardians of the Galaxy 3 would feel more emotional with the various stories presented. Especially after Dave Bautista who also announced that this was his last film at the MCU, together with the departure of James Gunn. Recently, James Gunn went straight down to reveal new details about the film.


When replying to fans' questions on Instagram accounts, James Gunn confirmed the duration of the film Guardians of the Galaxy 3. According to Gunn, the film will be the longest among other Guardians films. However, Gunn did not reveal details about the duration. In comparison, Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) has a duration of 2 hours 2 minutes, while Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (2017) has a duration of 2 hours 17 minutes. While the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is the shortest with a duration of 44 minutes.

If you look at what James Gunn revealed, most likely the film Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will last about 2 hours 20 minutes to 30 minutes. Or even the film has a longer duration than that, considering this will be the last film Guardians.
