5 Characters in the MCU that aren't as strong as the Comic version!

Marvel Studios has done a great deal of work bringing well-known characters from Marvel Comics to film. And to give a different touch, sometimes they also make changes, such as changing the original costumes of the characters, to presenting changes in terms of strength. Interestingly, there are several characters whose powers have been nerfed by Marvel Studios, so they are very different from the comics. Which superheroes have their powers nerfed in the MCU? Check it out below!

Gamora

Zoe Zaldana has indeed played the character of Gamora very well. But there was a decision from Marvel Studios to nerf the character which made fans a little disappointed. In the comics, Gamora has the speed, strength, and endurance that almost rivals Adam Warlock's abilities. In Infinity Watch, Gamora's abilities are further enhanced by using additional devices, which also make her have a powerful healing factor. That's why she in the comics is also called the deadliest woman in the galaxy. But not with the MCU version which depicts its character as very fragile, only reliable in battle.

Drax

Drax was created to kill Thanos in the comics. That's why he was equipped with extraordinary strength. Besides having super strength, Drax is also able to project energy blasts from his palms. He can also perform fast movements, and is able to survive in outer space without air, water, and food. Even Drax has the ability to sense Thanos' presence, and is able to track Thanos' whereabouts anywhere. That's why Drax is a foe on par with Thanos. It's different with Drax in the MCU, where he has almost no super powers. And when dealing with Thanos, Drax is very vulnerable to defeat.

Quicksilver

The next superhero in the MCU to be nerfed is Quicksilver. Quicksilver made his MCU debut in Avengers: Age of Ultron. But the character is said to be dead and not coming back. Even though the MCU managed to maintain Quicksilver's trademark, they nerfed his character's speed. In the comics, Quicksilver can run at speeds up to Mach 10 and can create storms with his incredible speed. Because of his speed, Quicksilver can think faster than anyone, thus gaining an advantage over his opponents. Maybe Quicksilver that appears in the X-Men movies has a far more accurate depiction than the MCU version.

Thor

Thor in the MCU and in the comics is the strongest Avengers. But there is a nerf done by Marvel Studios for this one character. In the movies, Thor only manipulates the power of lightning to fight his enemies. But in the comics, Thor can also manipulate storms. He even has the ability to summon the power of a thousand storms, which Thor could possibly use to destroy the galaxy if he wanted to. On top of that, he can also access the Odinforce and has destroyed Yggdrasil to stop the Ragnarok cycle, something he is unable to do in the MCU.

Odin

Odin is one of the strongest characters in the Marvel Universe. If used to its full potential, Odin's power can be used to destroy the galaxy. Meanwhile in the MCU, Odin is heavily nerfed and given very limited screen time. Even though in the comics, Odin has made many achievements, where he was able to destroy a planet, to defeat several strong characters such as Silver Surfer and Thanos. Odin is indeed the embodiment of immense cosmic power. He is also capable of stealing the soul from Mephisto, which is nearly impossible for any other powerful character in Marvel to do. In the MCU, that power is barely shown.

Those are some superhero geeks in the MCU whose powers were heavily nerfed by Marvel Studios. Because on nerf, their true power potential becomes invisible. But there are still some characters like Gamora and Thor who seem to be able to unleash their power potential, considering the future of the two that may still have a long way to go in the MCU.

THANK YOU.
