Garp Will Fate Like Whitebeard, Because He's Old!

Whitebeard and Garp

There are several things that make Garp have similarities and connections with Whitebeard. For example, Whitebeard is the captain of the Whitebeard pirate group and also a legendary pirate who was once a rival of Gol D. Roger. Even though he could be the king of the pirates, he has no interest in the title and is not interested in finding One Piece.

On the other hand, Garp is also a rival figure of Roger. They have fought each other so many times, that even Roger himself mentioned that this made him think of Garp as part of his crew and not an enemy. Whitebeard saw his subordinates/crew as his children. He was even willing to deploy all the fleets and sacrifice his life to save Ace from the hands of the navy

Garp also saw Koby and Helmeppo as his grandchildren, besides Luffy. How he starts moving in chapter 1071 is clear evidence of this. Garp was even willing to ask Doll not to care about Kizaru and Akainu's orders in order to ask a separate fleet to come with him to Beehive Island to save Koby. And in chapter 1080 yesterday we saw Garp and SWORD's action in freeing Koby.

The island is infested with pirates, whose strength is unknown. That is, Garp could have died like what happened to Whitebeard at Marineford. He was later shown to have succeeded in defeating Aokiji using the Blue Hole technique, which managed to again create a large hole in the Beehive island area.

However, will Garp be able to just walk away? Even though the chance existed, there was also a possibility that Garp would have bad luck. In this case, Garp will likely die in this moment of saving Koby. Why? One reason is because of the age factor. As mentioned in the previous point, Garp and Whitebeard have several points in common.

Garp Fate Like Whitebeard

Before the moment of the Marineford war occurred, Whitebeard's health condition had indeed declined. What then became the reason is still a mystery. However, most likely it is due to the age factor. Besides Whitebeard, actually Rayleigh also admitted that his age made his strength level decrease like when he faced Blackbeard.
