Here's a Visual Appearance of 5 Iconic Ships in Live Action One Piece!

Created by mangaka Eiichiro Oda, One Piece is one of the most popular manga and anime worldwide whose live action version will soon be broadcast on the Netflix streaming channel. Touted as the most ambitious manga adaptation show, this series whose production process is directly supervised by Oda sensei presents real ships with a size of 1:1 so that everything feels more realistic. Starting from the flagship ship of the Straw Hat pirates, to the formidable battleship owned by the marines, here are five appearances of iconic ships in the live action series One Piece!

Going Merry

The first ship that is certain to be in the live action series One Piece later is the Going Merry owned by the Straw Hat pirates. The design of the Going Merry live action version is made as realistic as possible while still maintaining some of the original elements. On the upper part of the ship, which has the shape of a sheep's head, we can see designs carved to resemble fur and horns. But the face of the Going Merry still shows the story, as well as the Straw Hat jolly roger on the screen. A cannon that is the mainstay of the Straw Hat can also be seen sticking out on its front hull, which means that in the live action series there will be a sea battle between the Going Merry and enemy ships.

Red Force

The next ship that is no less realistic than the Going Merry live action version of One Piece, is Shanks' Red Force and the Red Hair pirate crew. Seeing its massive size, it's quite clear that Netflix is very serious about working on this live action adaptation. The reason why this red and black ship is instantly recognizable to fans as the live action version of Red Force is because of its hull in the shape of a horned dragon. Reportedly not only the Red Force will appear in the live action series later, but also Shanks' first ship that he and his crew used when he first met Luffy at Foosha Village, to be precise at the beginning of the One Piece story.

Miss Love Duck

Miss Love Duck is the second pirate ship after Red Force which was introduced in the manga and anime One Piece. That's why the pirate Alvida's ship will also appear at the beginning of the live action series later. The distinctive feature of Miss Love Duck is the long, swan-shaped head of the ship. The difference is that instead of being white, the live action version will actually be pink like the hull. The existence of the Miss Love Duck ship itself will later mark the appearance of Luffy's first enemy named Alvida and Luffy's new best friend named Koby, who later dreams of becoming a marine under the tutelage of Monkey D. Garp.

Baratie

Baratie is actually a ship of reliable chefs who dedicate their cooking to sailors, whether they are marines or pirates. In the live action series One Piece, the appearance of the Baratie ship will be made as similar as possible to the original version, in which there is a giant fish head on the front of its hull. This fish's mouth can be opened and presents a beautiful view in front of the ship for the exclusive Baratie guests. If referring to the manga and anime One Piece, it is on this ship that Luffy will meet Sanji, the future chef and the strongest Straw Hat fighter. And of course all of that will come true after a big battle against the Krieg and Mihawk pirates takes place on the Baratie.

Garp Battleship

Lastly, the ship whose appearance in the live action One Piece has been revealed is Monkey D. Garp's battleship. Despite his status as Luffy's biological grandfather, Garp is actually a vice admiral. Apart from its combat power and troops, Garp's battleship is also one of the factors why he is feared in the ocean. Garp's Battleship can be easily identified by the dog's head-shaped hull. Although in the leaked photos from the filming location of Garp's ship it is still not finished, it is quite clear that the hull will have a similar appearance to the anime, complete with spiked dog collars .

Those are the appearances of the five ships that will play an important role in the One Piece live action later. Starting from the Going Merry, Miss Love Duck, Red Force, to the Baratie and Garp's battleship, all of these ships have indirectly leaked the focus of the One Piece live action story which will later tell more about Luffy's early adventures when he was still gathering his first crew. Maybe this first season will end with Luffy finally going to sea with Nami, Sanji, Zoro, and Usopp. We'll see the truth when the series airs on Netflix this year.
