Here Are 6 Manga Titles Created by Eiichiro Oda Before One Piece!

Who doesn't know the big name Eiichiro Oda? He is the mangaka who for more than two decades created the iconic One Piece story. Oda was able to create a One Piece story with lots of interesting twists and surprises, which has made the story last until now. That's why Oda is considered a "Goda", an expert in making interesting stories. As it turns out, geeks, One Piece is not the only manga made by Oda. There are several other manga he has ever made. Anything? Check out the following geeks

Wanted

This is Eiichiro Oda's first manga before he started writing One Piece. Titled Wanted, this manga was worked on by Oda in 1992. At that time, Oda was still very young, where he was in high school. Wanted itself tells of a bounty hunter named Wild Joe who is assigned a mission to hunt down Gill Bastar. But the task is never easy, because Gill Baster is a very strong figure, and he can finish off anyone who bothers him. And after being killed by Gill, Joe becomes a "cursed spirit" because he can't kill Gill. The only way to free Joe from the curse is to face Gill again. Interestingly, Geeks, when creating this manga, Oda did not include his real name as the writer, but used a pseudonym named Himizu Kikondo.

God's Gift For the Future

Now the second manga written by Oda is titled God's Gift For the Future. This manga was written by him in 1993. This manga tells about Bran, a thief who realizes that what he did was wrong and tries to be better. But his efforts were never successful, so the god was angry with him. One time, Bram did the right thing that amazed the gods at the drastic change in his attitude. Due to its huge success, this manga appeared in the October 1993 issue of Monthly Shonen Jump Original. Even the manga was reprinted as a compilation of Oda's stories in 1998. In addition, this manga also received a lot of praise from readers all over Japan.

Night Parade of One Demon

Just like God's Gift for the Future, the Night Parade of One Demon aka Ikki Yakoo also received praise from the people of Japan. The manga was released in 1994, and was part of the Shonen Jump Spring Special. The manga tells about a monk named Guko who is crossing the forest. When going to spend the night, a monster attacked him. But due to luck, the monk managed to save himself by running into a village. But after that incident, the villagers asked Guko to kill the monster, until finally Guko had to finish him off, even though it was very hard for him to do.

Monsters

In 1995, Eiichiro Oda also created a manga titled Monsters. Interestingly, Oda had said that this manga is actually still in the One Piece universe, even though the timeline is not the same. The manga tells about a character named Ryuma, a legendary character who has been appearing in One Piece stories. The manga does explain why Ryuma is considered a sword god. As we know, Ryuma is considered the best swordsman, not only in Wano but throughout the world. In the manga, we will witness how great Ryuma is, including when he kills a very strong and deadly dragon. In 1998, the Monsters manga was also printed and re-released in 1998.

Romance Dawn

Released in 1996, Romance Dawn is the manga that forms the basis of One Piece. There are several Romance Dawn stories which were later adapted into One Piece stories, even Romance Dawn itself was made into an anime version. Just like One Piece, Romance Dawn tells about the main character named Luffy who is gifted with the ability of a contortionist. Luffy is shown meeting a character named Silk, an orphan who looks just like Nami in the One Piece story. Even though the story is almost similar to One Piece, of course for One Piece fans, Romance Dawn is also worth your attention.

Romance Dawn 2

Interestingly, geeks, Oda didn't only make one version of Romance Dawn, but two. Romance Dawn 2 was released in 1996 and appeared in Weekly Shonen Jump #41. Romance Dawn 2 is the last manga made by Eiichiro Oda, before he switched to working on One Piece as we know it today. In Romance Dawn 2, we are still told about the figure of Luffy who has the power of the Gomu Gomu devil fruit. The difference in the second, Garp has a very big role. It was he who inspired Luffy to become a strong pirate, not Shanks like in One Piece. Garp is also the one who gave Luffy the devil fruit.

Those are the geeks of several mangas made by Eiichiro Oda, which he made long before working on the One Piece story. Which of these manga have you guys seen?

THANK YOU.
