Fast X is the latest film from the Fast Furious franchise which is currently showing in theaters all over the world, including in Indonesia. The film itself focuses again on Vin Diesel's Dominic Toretto and his racing family who have to face an enemy from the past named Dante Reyes, played by Jason Momoa. Apart from Dante, Fast X is also enlivened by another villain named Aimes, whose role it turns out was almost played by Hollywood star Keanu Reeves before falling into the hands of Alan Ritchson.

In the movie Fast X itself Aimes is the new leader of the secret organization Mr. Nobody' The Agency. As has been revealed through various Fast X promotions including trailers, the character Aimes himself was seen working with Dante at some point in this tenth Fast & Furious. He and his squad are seen surrounding Dom on a bridge and showering bullets on him, which Dom intercepts using the car door. And the cruelty of this villain turned out to be almost presented by star John Wick.

 


The news about Keanu Reeves, who was intended to play the character Aimes in the Fast X film, even came directly from actor Alan Ritchson himself. “At the time I was shooting a movie in very cold weather with actress Hilary Swank in Winnipeg. I suddenly got a call that the plans for engaging Keanu Reeves had changed, which was meant to play my part. A decision that is quite burdensome," said Ritchson in his latest statement to Entertainment Weekly.

Still in the same interview, Ritchson also expressed how lucky he was because he was finally able to continue starring in the film Fast X with all the previous problems, such as Covid-19, the change of director from Justin Lin to Louis Leterrier, and so on. "I thought it was all over before it officially started, but we were very lucky to have gotten through it all and they were willing to push back the (production) dates a little bit," Ritchson added.

The news about Keanu Reeves almost playing the villain in Fast & Furious movies like Fast X is actually not the first time. Previously, screenwriter Chris Morgan also revealed that Reeves almost voiced the mysterious character who leads the evil organization Eteon in Hobbs & Shaw (2019). Based on all this, it is not impossible that in the future Reeves will again be offered the role of being a villain in the two final films of Fast & Furious 11 and 12. We'll just wait.
