Hela Will Return in What if Season 2

Director Bryan Andrews confirmed that Cate Blanchett will reprise her role as Hela in What If Season 2. She will voice Hela after her last role in Thor: Ragnarok.

Although the details of the character are still being kept under wraps, Andrews said that the series will tell a different side of Hela that fans have never seen before. Will he be described as a good person? Well, all of that is very possible in the Marvel multiverse.

Marvel Studios is planning to release a second season in early 2023. In fact, Marvel Studios wants to release a new season of What If every year. However, it took much longer to produce an animated series, which hampered annual release plans.

Whatever the plan, what is clear is that Marvel Studios has promised that the second season will be "crazier", and tell a wider Marvel multiverse. This includes bringing the character Hela to appear in What If Season 2.

Cate Blanchett herself made her MCU debut in 2017, through the film Thor: Ragnarok. At that time, Blanchett played Hela who is Thor and Loki's older sister. She is the first female villain in the MCU.

Actually, before Hela, there was another female villain, namely Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy 2. But Nebula is no longer evil at the end of the story. For geeks who don't know, Hela is Odin's first child who eventually becomes Asgard's Goddess of Death. Because Hela is thirsty for power and conflict, Odin expels Hela and keeps her in Hel.

After appearing in Thor: Ragnarok, unfortunately Hela never reappeared in any of the other films. Even so, Marvel Studios gave Hela a second chance to appear in the upcoming What If series. Let's just wait, Geeks Hela action in the series later.
