Superman is a classic superhero endowed with extraordinary abilities. He has many abilities such as super strength, invulnerability, X-Ray vision, flight, and many more. We have seen almost all of these abilities in comics and movies. But in fact, there are several abilities of Superman that can be called rare, because they are almost never shown. In Superman #45, which was released in 1947, we are introduced to Superman's ability, which is similar to the Skrull, namely being able to change shape. The difference is, Superman changes his shape by manipulating the muscles in his face and all over his body. At that time, Superman tried to change his shape into a pale-skinned alien with pointy ears. Of course this ability is suitable in an infiltration mission. It turns out that Superman also has another unique ability, namely hypnosis. This ability was shown in the comic Action Comics #38 which was released in 1941. In the comic, we are shown when Superman hypnotized a psychologist named Harold Morton and forced him to surrender to the police. Interestingly, this same power was also shown in the comic Superman #330 in 1978, where Superman defeated an evil hypnotist named Spellbinder by hypnotizing the entire population of Metropolis through a television screen. Unfortunately we still don't see that ability anymore now.

Telekinesis

It turns out that this ability is not only owned by Marvel heroes, because Superman has also shown the ability to move objects with his mind. In fact, this ability has been used several times, although it is also rarely seen. Interestingly, geeks, one of the Superman story writers, John Byrne, once explained that Superman's ability to fly is a form of telekinetic ability to his own body. Interestingly, in the film Superman IV: The Quest For Peace, Superman has the ability to use the telekinetic that his eyes emit to lift people, and even to repair damaged buildings.

So maybe this is Superman's rare power as well as being the strangest on this list. This ability was demonstrated in the film Superman II, which was released in 1980. In the film, we are shown when Superman throws the S symbol from his costume and uses the symbol to trap his enemies. Yep, that symbol can issue a plastic net to catch them. No one can come up with a logical explanation for what Superman's abilities haven't been seen before. So it's not surprising that this ability is never used again, both in movies and comics.

Those are the geeks, some rare and strange powers for Superman. Maybe we can only see this ability a few times, and sadly never shown again.
